Greg Gutfeld was born in San Mateo, California, on September 12, 1964. He attended Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo and then attended the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating in 1987, he began working as an editor for Prevention magazine in New York City. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he wrote for several magazines and edited the men’s magazine Men’s Health. Gutfeld then returned to New York City, where he wrote for the magazine Maxim and served as editor-in-chief of Stuff magazine.
